International Language Club
|
The International Language Club at Lowell High School celebrates cultural events and topics related to the languages taught through the Foreign Language Department.
Meetings and activities are scheduled on a monthly basis and offer the opportunity for students to gather with classmates and friends in an informal setting.
Events celebrated include: Welcome Back Ice Cream Sundae Party, Day of the Dead Celebration, BonBon sales for fundraising, Holiday Dinner, Three Kings Celebration, trip to the Winter Carnival in Quebec, Valentine Sweetheart carnation sales, and Foreign Language Week in March.
All students who take or have taken a foreign language class may join. Students receive a membership card and a pen when they join. Membership dues is $5 per year and covers the cost of all after school activities.
Members of the International Language Club have teamed up with the Greehalge School in Lowell and visit during the holiday season with gifts, juice & cookies while delivering small gifts as well as host a pinata party.
The International Language Club is the largest club at Lowell High School with over 600 members.
